I am Naziwe Debra, and I am 44 which is considered old here in Uganda. My husband died, and I am raising 6 children alone. (At my age, this is very hard.) We lived in the awful Katanga slum for 8 years. My children would go to the gate of the school, but they were chased away because they did not have the money for school supplies. It made me feel so sad that I could not provide that for them. Six years ago Thread of Life began teaching me to make beads. Now I can take care of my children. I was even able to buy a small plot of land in the village. My goal is to have each of my children graduate. I thank God that we have survived, and I have lived to see the fruit of my hard work. I thank you for your support!
